On September 2, 2019, Sony Assurance, a wholly owned non-life insurance subsidiary of Sony Financial Holdings Inc., launched a "sign language/conversation-in-writing service" for the accident-response and road services on its automobile insurance, as well as insurance claim procedures on medical and fire insurance.
■ Service Overview
Sony Assurance uses a service, provided by PLUSVoice, a company interprets communications into sign language or conversations in writing by utilizing communication technologies. With this service, PLUSVoice's operators interpret between voice and sign language or conversation in writing, enabling real-time communication between customers with hearing or speaking disabilities and Sony Assurance's representatives.
