Sony Life offered a financial donation to Special Olympics Nippon (Japan)

Sony Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (Sony Life), a wholly-owned life insurance subsidiary of Sony Financial Holdings, offered a financial donation to Special Olympics Nippon (Japan), an accredited non-profit organization on December 16, 2011.

Sony Life employees have participated in social contribution activities as part of its corporate endeavors. Sony Life has supported Special Olympics Nippon to help people with intellectual disabilities gain autonomy and more broadly participate in society through sports and contribute to the formation of a diversity-friendly society.

In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2012, Sony Life donated ¥5 million for this purpose. At 2010 Special Olympics Nippon National Summer Games Osaka in November 2010, approximately 950 Sony Life employees participated as a volunteer staff. Furthermore, employees will participate in 2012 Special Olympics Nippon National Winter Games Fukushima in February 2012.
