Sony Life Insurance Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned life insurance subsidiary of Sony Financial Holdings, today announced that this fiscal year it will continue to support "Sony Life Cup—The 33rd All Japan Ladies Tennis Tournament," one of the biggest amateur women's tennis cups in Japan, by co-sponsoring the event and participating in related volunteer activities. Objectives of the All Japan Ladies Tennis Tournament, which celebrates its 33rd anniversary in 2011, are to enhance women's health and develop tennis as a popular sport. Furthermore, over 340,000 people have participated since its establishment of the tournament in 1979.
At tournament qualifiers held in each of Japan's prefectures, Sony Life's Lifeplanner* sales employees and other employees will participate in volunteer activities that support the tournament. In the future as well, Sony Life will continue to contribute to society by actively promoting such activities.
