Sony Bank Starts a Special Program for the Winter 2006 Bonus Season

Sony Bank Inc., an 88.0%-owned subsidiary of Sony Financial Holdings, today announced the start of the following special program for the winter 2006 bonus season. The program will commence on November 27, 2006, as follows.

1. Special Bonus Season Interest Rates on Yen Time Deposits

During the bonus season, Sony Bank will apply special interest rates that will be announced on the bank's Japanese website on November 27, 2006, to yen time deposits with periods of more than six months that commence from November 27, 2006, to February 4, 2007.


2. Foreign Currency Deposit Campaign

During the bonus season, Sony Bank will apply special interest rates that will be announced on the bank's Japanese website on November 27, 2006, to time deposits denominated in all foreign currencies and for all available deposit periods. The rates apply to foreign currency time deposits that commence from November 27, 2006, to February 4, 2007.
In addition, Sony Bank will apply the following reduced exchange fees to convert yen into foreign currencies and reduced commissions on limit orders when purchasing foreign currencies during the period from 8:00 a.m. on November 27, 2006, to 5:59 a.m. on February 3, 2007.

3. Gift of 500 Yen to Customers Who Transfer to Sony Bank

Sony Bank will add a one-time gift of 500 yen to the accounts of customers who make a single transfer of more than 1 million yen from another financial institution to a Sony Bank ordinary yen deposit account during the period from November 27, 2006, to February 2, 2007. The gift will be added to customers' ordinary yen deposit accounts in mid-February 2007.

Going forward, Sony Bank will continue responding to customers' needs for the asset management.
