Sony Bank Enters Tie-up with TOYOTA HOME TOKYO in Mortgage Loans

March 1, 2010

Sony Bank, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Financial Holdings, today announced that it had started offering mortgage loans in cooperation with TOYOTA HOME TOKYO Co., LTD., ("TOYOTA HOME TOKYO") from February 10, 2010.

Subject to certain lending criteria, Sony Bank will provide mortgage loans at preferential interest rates to customers who purchase newly built homes sold by TOYOTA HOME TOKYO. Customers will be able to apply for the mortgage loans through TOYOTA HOME TOKYO.

TOYOTA HOME TOKYO is a housing manufacturer belonging to the Toyota Motor group of companies. The company offers a full range of housing services, including sales, planning, construction and after-sales services for custom and prebuilt homes. TOYOTA HOME TOKYO, which aims to provide eco-friendly housing for long-term residency, offers its housing services primarily mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area, including Kanagawa and Saitama prefectures.

Sony Bank's mortgage loans are extremely convenient because the entire loan process, from application to contract, can be conducted without ever having to visit a bank branch. Even after the initial loan has been made, payments may be accelerated and the type of interest applied may be changed—all via the Internet. Sony Bank will continue to provide service to meet customers' needs through enhancing its mortgage loans.
