Press Release

Sony Life to Begin Delivering CD-ROM versions of Policy Clauses

February 17, 2010

Sony Life Insurance Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned life insurance subsidiary of Sony Financial Holdings, today announced that it would begin delivering CD-ROM versions of policy clauses to customers whose policies commence on or after March 2, 2010, aiming at enhancing their convenience. Customers will be able to choose the format in which they prefer to receive policy information: as a conventional booklet or as a CD-ROM.

The CD-ROM option will allow Sony Life to reduce its paper usage. For each customer who opts for the CD-ROM, the company will donate ¥10 to the Sorabear Foundation.*

* Sorabear Foundation is a non-profit organization engaged in global warming prevention, green power promotion activities and environmental education for children. As one of its green power promotion activities, the Sorabear Smile Project, the foundation has installed Sorabear Power Generation Equipments at kindergartens and nursery schools across Japan.
