Sony Bank Starts a Special Program for the Winter 2009 Bonus Season

Sony Bank Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Financial Holdings, today announced the start of the following special programs for the winter 2009 bonus season.
- Special Bonus Season Interest Rates on Yen Time Deposits and Thrift Saving Deposits
Sony Bank will offer special interest rates on yen time deposits and thrift saving deposits initiated between December 1, 2009, and February 28, 2010.
- Sony Product Gifts for Yen Time Deposits Customers
Sony Bank will give a Sony product, such as a VAIO PC or a BRAVIA LCD-television, to 100 customers who have a balance of ¥1 million or more in a yen time deposit account. These gifts will be available to selected customers who register through Sony Bank's web site between December 1, 2009, and February 28, 2010.
- Sony Product Gifts for Thrift Saving Deposit Customers
Sony Bank will give a Sony product, such as a digital still camera Cyber-Shot or a Digital music player Walkman, to 100 customers who have a balance of ¥1,000 or more in a yen thrift saving deposit account. These gifts will be available to selected customers who register through Sony Bank's web site between December 1, 2009, and February 28, 2010.
- ¥1,000 to Customers Who Opens Securities Trading Account
Sony Bank will give ¥1,000 to all customers who open securities trading account with Sony Bank Securities between December 1, 2009, and April 2, 2010. The gift will be added to customers' ordinary yen deposit account in April 2010.
- Cash Back on Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) Purchases
Sony Bank Securities will refund all purchase commissions to customers who purchase ETFs sold by Sony Bank Securities between December 1, 2009, and January 29, 2010. This campaign is a tie-up with Sony Bank. Commissions will be refunded to customers' ordinary yen deposit account in February 2010.
