Sony Life offered a financial donation to Special Olympics Nippon

Sony Life Insurance Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned life insurance subsidiary of Sony Financial Holdings, offered a financial donation to Special Olympics Nippon (Japan), an accredited nonprofit organization on October 6, 2009.

Sony Life employees have participated in social contribution activities as part of its corporate endeavors. By supporting Special Olympics Nippon, Sony Life has encouraged the independence of people with intellectual disabilities and helped them participate in their community.

In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2010, Sony Life donated ¥5 million for this purpose. At 2008 Special Olympics Nippon National Winter Games Yamagata in March 2008, approximately 700 Sony Life employees participated as a volunteer staff. Furthermore, employees will participate in 2010 Special Olympics Nippon National Summer Games Osaka in November 2010.
