Sony Assurance Inc., a wholly-owned non-life insurance subsidiary of Sony Financial Holdings, today announced that it will offer a mobile Global Positioning System ("GPS") service as roadside assistance for its automobile insurance policyholders from July 1, 2009.
By offering the GPS service as roadside assistance, policyholders will be able to clearly report accident locations even from the unknown places, which we believe leads to more convenience and a sense of security for its policyholders. In addition, the GPS service enables policyholder to specify accident locations and shorten arrival time of service staff. Therefore, Sony Assurance will be able to provide prompter service to its policyholders.
