Sony Bank Starts a Special Program for the Summer 2009 Bonus Season

Sony Bank Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Financial Holdings, today announced the start of the following special programs for the summer 2009 bonus season.

  1. Special Bonus Season Interest Rates on Yen Time Deposits and Thrift Saving Deposits
    Sony Bank will offer special interest rates on yen time deposits and thrift saving deposits initiated between June 1, 2009, and August 30, 2009.


  2. Sony Product Gifts for Yen Time Deposits Customers
    Sony Bank will give a Sony product, such as a PC VAIO or a LCD-television BRAVIA, to 100 customers who have a balance of ¥1 million or more in a yen time deposit account. These gifts will be available to selected customers who register through Sony Bank's web site between June 1, 2009, and August 30, 2009.


  3. Gift Cards for Thrift Saving Deposit Customers
    Sony Bank will offer gift cards to 120 customers who have thrift saving deposit balances of ¥5,000 or more. These gifts will be available to selected customers who register through Sony Bank's web site between June 1, 2009, and August 30, 2009.


  4. US$100 to Customers Who Purchase Foreign Currency Deposits
    Sony Bank will give US$100 to each of 100 customers who purchase foreign currency deposits between June 1, 2009, and July 31, 2009, and have a foreign currency account balance of ¥10,000 or more.


  5. Cash Back on Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) Purchases
    Sony Bank will refund all purchase commissions to customers who purchase ETFs sold by Sony Bank Securities between June 1, 2009, and July 31, 2009. This campaign is a tie-up with Sony Bank Securities. Commissions will be refunded in August 2009.
