Sony Bank Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Financial Holdings, today announced a tie-up with Seven Bank, Ltd. From August 1, 2008, Seven Bank will begin offering Sony Bank's mortgage loans at six of its staffed counters (three in Tokyo, two in Chiba Prefecture, and one in Saitama Prefecture).
Seven Bank has handled Sony Bank's mortgage loans since May 2007, but in its new role as a banking agent for Sony Bank Seven Bank will be able to explain the details of Sony Bank's mortgage loans as well as to screen potential borrowers. By adding new banking agents at Seven Bank's staffed counters, located at Ito-Yokado superstores, Sony Bank will strengthen its mortgage loan services and endeavor to enhance the convenience for customers.
This tie-up is Sony Bank's first involving banking agency services with another bank, as well as Seven Bank's first experience in conducting such services all at once at all its staffed counters. Going forward, Sony Bank and Seven Bank will keep responding to the diverse needs of their customers.
